Jody_Narantic_590x400Jody Narantic, aka “The Hunter’s Wife,” publishes the blog titled The Hunter’s Wife where she finds humor living with her all-around outdoors guy. She’s the girl in borrowed camouflage with the painted fingernails — proving that opposites do attract. Married to her husband for 10 years, this city girl is still trying to adjust to life in the outdoors. After taking her first fishing trip just 5 years ago, Jody realized there is nothing more breathtaking than being in the middle of a beautiful lake spending time with your husband enjoying a day of fishing.

Jody  is a lifelong resident of northwest Indiana and has worked in administration and sales for the last 25 years. Since starting her blog in 2007, Jody has had the opportunity to meet and work with some amazing people.  According to Jody,

“One of the most rewarding things since I started my blog was teaming up with BP and our local Boys and Girls Clubs to help initiate a Wish to Fish Clinic. The goal for the Wish to Fish Clinics is to introduce our local kids to the sport of fishing and educate them on safe practices. It’s an amazing feeling to see kids learn to fish for the first time and be a part of their excitement.”

Welcome, Jody. I’m looking forward to your contributions to The WOMA. “The Hunter’s Wife” is one of my favorite blogs. You always manage to get me to smile and even laugh out loud when nobody but my cats are around to hear it.

Go Jody! I too am adjusting to the outdoor life with humor. I’ve always loved the outdoors, but now enjoy seeing it through the eyes of hard0core hunters, fly fishing guides, and even a group of 70-year old women who hike very Wednesday (the WOW’s–women who hike on Wednesday!).

Makes for lots of fun things to write about and I look forward to reading yours! Congratulations on joining us!
