Melita Ellington’s son deploys to Afghanistan
Please keep Melita Ellington and family in your thoughts and prayers as their son, Sgt. Corey A. Sims, deploys this week to Afghanistan. He’s in the 2-2 Weapons Division, USMC, from Camp LeJeune, NC. He told his mom, “No waterworks!” and she says she’s a proud combat mom. We’re behind you, lady. And, Corey … thank you.

Melita, you and your family are in my prayers! If your son is anything like you (and I know he is) then he’s a wonderful man!

Thanks Deb – I know the hand of God is on Corey and all our Marines and service men and women. I am a very proud mama, to say the least! And say a special prayer for Connie — this will be her first taste of deployment, and she’s a long way from home. Thank you for your prayers and well-wishes! I covet them all!!

CoreyMonster has had the best training in the world to do what he has to do now. Then the Marine Corp got ahold of him and gave him the tools with which to do so. He has his family, God and Country both in his mind and standing behind him, so no matter what his endeavor, he will succeed. We love him and you. Semper Fi
