NSSA searching for new skeet director

The National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA) is searching for a new Skeet Director, a key position in the association and the primary contact with NSSA’s 20,000 members and 600 clubs and member organizations. The position is located in San Antonio, Texas, at the National Shooting Complex, the association’s headquarters.

According to the NSSA Officers and Executive Committee, candidates must possess an in-depth knowledge of skeet shooting, including hosting and operating registered shoots, budgeting, programs, announcements, NSSA Bylaws, rule formulation, and voting procedures.  Candidates must be able to coordinate with Committees, act as directed by the Executive Director and Executive Committee, and supervise a staff of five. Other responsibilities of the Skeet Director include determining trends, statistics, and other factors affecting the National Skeet Shooting Association, making recommendations, and implementing solutions.

All prospective candidates must possess effective verbal and written communications skills and basic computer knowledge.

The National Skeet Shooting Association is the governing and sanctioning body for the sport of skeet shooting in the U.S.  NSSA is a non-profit organization owned and operated by and for its members. Among its activities are hosting an annual World Championship tournament and keeping records for its members and the targets they shoot, the affiliated clubs, and the tournaments they hold.
