Road After Russia: Tracy and Lanny Barnes 3 Gun Competition Update
Welcome to Summer!!
Lanny and I completed our first 3 gun match over the weekend and finished 2 & 3rd woman in the tactical division and 68th and 72nd out of 240 overall (see photos attached). It was a close match between Lanny and I and we battle it back and forth the entire match. It was an incredibly exciting event and we have a lot to work to get to the level that we want to be. Our equipment worked flawlessly over the weekend thanks in part to quality gear and also to the products that keep them clean and functioning.
We’re going to be training hard the next couple of months to shave off the seconds and get more efficient with our gear. Our next three gun match is in Raton, New Mexico at the NRA Whittington Center and is the Rocky Mountain 3 gun World Shoot. It is the endurance event of the 3 gun world and we’re excited to give it a shot. Immediately following the Rocky Mountain event we’ll head to Bend, Oregon for the Crimson Trace Midnight 3 gun event. This 3 gun event takes place at night with lasers and lights. After that we’ll head to Kentucky for the Midwest 3 gun Nation Rockcastle event.
This next week we head to the Sig Sauer Academy in New Hampshire for a Patrol Rifle Certification course for T.O.P Shooting Institute. As instructors we want to gain as much knowledge as we can so that we can further aid our students.
Have a great summer and Thanks for your support!
