Looking to get published?

August 1, 2011 by

An opportunity for WOMA members from Guns.com:

Guns.com is a big domain name to live up to and we hold ourselves a demanding six days a week publishing schedule, so it goes without saying that we are constantly on the search for new talent from writers and creators with an interest in and knowledge of firearms. If interested we encourage you to submit your resume and writing samples (links or files) toresumes@guns.com if you would like to be considered for future freelance work with us.

We are looking for writers with a comprehensive knowledge of firearms and who can “speak gun” fluently in a relaxed, inviting, insightful and unique manner. We publish content on just about any and every gun related topic imaginable including hunting, self-defense, tactical shooting, military hardware, antiques, competitive shooting, black powder and handloading and we’re looking for writers that are at least familiar with most of these categories (and with an “expertise” in one or two). You can get a much better feel for what we’re looking for in a Guns.com writer by checking out the site.

As a writer in Guns.com’s freelance network you would work remotely and contribute anywhere between two times a week to once every two weeks–a nice little gig for the working freelancer. We like to think of ourselves as accommodating to work with both professionally and creatively and our rates are competitive for the web.

If interested please email your resume and a couple samples of written work (or video) to Aaron at resumes@guns.com. Please put OWAA in the subject line of your email.
